Well I’m more or less just back from running my first ever 10k and tell you what I’m fucking proud of myself as in the process of running it in 53 minutes and 45 seconds I also raised around £120 for a combination of charity and my football club.
And even though I am going to be very very sore tomorrow… Here’s tae me.
Been in pre-season training the past month or so, had my first friendly tonight against a Busby XI, beat them 3-1, I played 2nd half and should have scored twice with two efforts from outside the box, first a lob and the second a volley… at 1-0 up, the lob never came off at all, had far too much time to think about it, they equalised and then I had the volley that I hit about a foot wide. Gutted. We had the last laugh all the same.
