Moving Out!

Well over the past month or so I’ve had some absolutely rotten luck, my holiday to Canada was cancelled, some tool drove into the back of my car, my car was returned to me 2 weeks later with a dent in it and has to get taken away again and when I put my car in for a service the monkeys at the garage managed to put a fuck off scrape down the side of the passenger door that had to be buffed out but, in the next couple of days I am going to move out for the first time.

I am moving into a flat with my mate which is still quite local to my house, only about a 10 minute drive if that away, nice place, I’ve moved some of my kit down there but over the past couple of days I’ve been shattered and haven’t had the chance. Tonight and tomorrow though I’ll get it all finished off and start my new life in the flat, hopefully this will be the start of a run of positive things to happen to me after that month from hell.

I can’t even begin to put the words together to rant about this waste of TV license money.

I am now the grand old age of 24, was my birthday yesterday you see, happy birthday to me you might think and yeh it was a rather nice day despite having to take the day off work and go to the doctor’s due to having been involved in a car crash the night before.

Whiplash and bruised ribs is what I’ve diagnosed with, fair enough, I’m not in massive amounts of pain but I do get uncomfortable sitting about or moving around for too long, need to keep readjusting. As for the car well, less than 11 months old, around 6900 miles on the clock and its just been involved in its first accident, the left hand side tail end of it has near enough been crushed in, windows are all still intact but it wasn’t looking too healthy at all, exhaust pipes seem to have been knocked out of line as well unfortunately, I’ll find out tomorrow exactly what sort of state its in.

To top it all off I should really be over the Atlantic somewhere just now on route to Vancouver. Oh well.

So aye, my holiday to Canada… off.

Fuck.

What makes matters worse is because I paid by Debit card it doesn’t even look as though I’m going to get my money back. I’ll have to visit my bank this week and get it sorted out. Absolutely gutted. I’ve been in dire need of a holiday for a good while, for those of you who have had to suffer this Glaswegian ’summer’ you’ll know what I’m talking about, a depressing state of affairs. I’ve been looking forward to this for months and to have it stripped away from me exactly a week before I was meant to head out is seriously shite. I’ve had it.

Tonight I will be making my way through to the Edinburgh Festival to see Deadmau5 (http://www.deadmau5.com). I’ve been a big fan of his since I first heard his song ‘Not Exactly’ on a mash up mix at the beginning of this year.

Really looking forward to it, going to take a camera to document the evening’s events.

Diesel Soars to £2.43 a Litre

Apparently.

I went to a Shell garage last week to top up my car to the sum of £28.43 paying what is currently quite a reasonable £1.21.9 a litre. Oh no. Shell went ahead and charged me twice, so instead of paying £28.43, I ended being debited twice for a total sum of £56.86, the equivalent to £2.43 a litre.

£9bn profit for half a year? Nae wonder.

My first 10K

Well I’m more or less just back from running my first ever 10k and tell you what I’m fucking proud of myself as in the process of running it in 53 minutes and 45 seconds I also raised around £120 for a combination of charity and my football club.

And even though I am going to be very very sore tomorrow… Here’s tae me.

Only 32 days until I head over to Vancouver, cannae wait, will be my first proper holiday from work this year too, the break will do me good, been stressed oot ma tits recently with various things.
