First Serato Mix
First things first, Happy New Year to anyone I may have missed over the festive period!
Over the holidays I treated myself to Serato Scratch Live to compliment the new laptop, DJing was becoming a very expensive hobby as I stuck with vinyl for quite a while. Now I was in a position where I have a collection of 150+ vinyl and equipment that wasn’t exactly cheap, I didn’t want to get rid of it in favour of a MIDI controller and Serato allows me to use my decks with control vinyl to mix the MP3s within the Scratch Live software, perfect!
I haven’t had a lot of practise on it yet but after a wee spend on Beatport.com I thought I’d put a wee mix together, 13 songs lasting around 50 minutes to be exact. Took the opportunity to use my nanoPad too, was interesting to say the least! The track listing is as follows:

There are a few rough bits, especially between tracks 4 & 5 and track 8 simply wasn’t that good a choice for the mix but other than that its no bad (honest!) – if those tunes appeal to you then its available to download here.
